Happy Bees on Flowers

I recently painted a colorful painting in the Ukrainian Petrykivka style. I added some cute little bees at my mother's request (save the bees!).  Even though bees aren't typical in traditional Petrykivka, I thought they came out nicely. I like to do my own twists on the things I learn.

I also uploaded the design to Redbubble, if you would like to peruse the fabulous products they offer and order something with my little bees and pretty flora.

They have a wide range of things to choose from: clothing, smartphone covers, tablet covers, notebooks, wall art, scarves, clocks, travel mugs, coffee mugs.  Just about anything!

The Secret Life of Towel Bars

Our new spice rack was once an old, ugly, abandoned towel bar trapped in the wrong body.  I helped it find its true identity with some paint and a scrap piece of wood.  This was painted with some of my cat's fur glued onto a toothpick.  You don't need fancy tools or materials to make cool stuff. I just wanted a simple way to access our favorite @penzeys2.0 spice blends.

Teeny tiny Hallingdal

 I painted this little tiny painting in the Hallingdal style of rosemaling.  Nontraditional colors but traditional design. Isn’t it cute? It is only 2 in. square.

Ding, fries are done. 🍟I’ve reached a stopping point (I think) on this latest little color nugget. Believe it or not, I used the same leftover colors mixed from my barn quilt. Because I hate wasting paint!

Honeymoon in Hawaii

Here is one of my most recent painted records, inspired by a Hawaiian plumeria.  I've never been to Hawaii.  One day.  This record is SOLD and has gone to live with a very awesome person.

You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute.

I'm almost finished painting this. Pretty sure no one has a mailbox like ours.  I'm hoping it will magically attract more fun and useful things to get mailed to us.   Checks and large amounts of money are good, too.  I'm not picky.

Watercolor Rainbow Mandala with Mystery Creature in the Middle

I love this mandala.  I'm not sure whether the flying creature is a butterfly, dragonfly, bird, or alien life form.  That's up to you. But it is colorful and happy, and deserves to be framed and hung on a wall to inspire freedom.

This isn't a record, but what it lacks in vinyl it more than makes up for in color saturation and psychedelic goodness.

The whole time I was painting this record, I kept getting stuck on the Badger Badger earworm.  If you've never heard it, well, here ya go (*also be sure to check out Weebl and Bob- "When come back bring pie...").

ANYWAY.....

I painted this far out, psychedelic Mushroom label record, which was once the Canadian band Chilliwack.

LOOK AT THIS CRAZY RECORD!

You will see colors you have never seen, much like the elusive and silently powerful mantis shrimp.  You will go on a mind journey.  You will see auras.  You will see your past lives.

Hmmm, no. None of those things are true.  You will not see those things, most likely.

Or maybe you will. Who am I to say?

All I can say is that this is a beautiful record with pretty colors that makes me happy to look at.
